Judy's Goetta
Since the first GOETTA post we've had a surprising interest in making those old family recipes. This week Judy whipped up a batch for her family. Her daughter, Jamie, sent us a photo. Judy's recipe is simple...
"I have made a much easier version of Goetta for years by using ground beef 80/20 and ground pork with the original Dorsel's recipe and it is so much less time consuming and easier. My only addition is very finely chopped celery, 3-4 ribs and some of the tender celery leaves. Just follow the directions on the bag. My family gives it the thumbs up. They would tell me if it wasn't up to my grandmother's standards even if she has been gone many, many years."
