Stuffed Chicken


The Delicious Memories recipe (left) for stuffing is great tasting as directed but over the years I've begun adding a 1/2 teaspoon of sage for a more flavorful dressing. Try any herb and spice combinations that suit your taste. Also, I increase the Italian bread slices to 6 if the loaf I'm using has small slices. I have provided photos and instructions below.

Prepare bread as directed

Combine bread with sauteed garlic, onions and herbs

Add cheese and mix

Refrigerate if not using immediately
(stuff chicken immediately before
baking to prevent bacteria growth)

Add egg and water or broth

Stuff chicken and place in shallow dish
lined with aluminum foil,
(fold aluminum foil up to hold in stuffing)

Serve stuffing with breast meat,
drizzle all with chicken drippings
